The home of stained glass and kiln formed (fused/slumped/woven) glass designs and objects by John Eastwood
- who is, of course, Ozlo's Dad!
After graduating from college as a civil engineer, I spent time doing some fun things - working in the film industry, running a wine bar, water ski instructor in Spain etc. - before getting married and becoming a father and therefore needing a "proper" job
I then spent some years working as a traffic and transportation planner for local government before leaving to join the white heat of the technology revolution - I became a computer salesman complete with the 'tache and silver sideburns!
But not for long! I then spent many years working with a major international telecoms company before taking early retirement, and have been working with glass for some seven years now.
Having studied with Caroline Loveys at South Hill Park in Bracknell, I started working in stained glass and have created a range of window and door panels, mirrors and some 3D works for outdoors.
After courses at Tempsford Stained Glass in Bedford, the Creative Glass Guild in Bristol and the Liquid Glass Centre near Trowbridge, I have over the last two years been focusing on fused and slumped glass, producing a range of attractive but useful objects - mostly dishes of various kinds.
My engineering background has led me to experiment to find which metals can be included within glass and the effect heat has on them, and by offsetting the design layers some unusual pieces have been achieved.
The other important thing is I guess: who is Ozlo?
Here I am!

I'll be in the Craft Coop Pop Up Shop @ South Hill Park on Saturday 19 May, 10am to 5pm at South Hill Park, Bracknell, RG12 7PA and my work will be in the Craft Coop Shop in the Nicholson Centre, Maidenhead for four week from 30th June
